Found on a sidewalk, messing with the trash from a trash bin - she was there looking for food. So small and with messy fur, she looked like a dog who had been on the streets for longer but we never could've imagined she was hiding 8 newborns in the vicinity until Ivana took her home, gave her a bath and checked her breasts for milk. It was leaking.
Ivana rushed back to the place she found Nelly and let Nelly lead the way. Nelly, as a good mum she is, ran immediately to the cornfield where she had her 8 potatoes hidden in an old shed. And the rest is history.
4 months later here we are, asking you to help Nelly find her loving home!
Things you should know about Nelly
DOB-2022
Mixed breed
5-6kg
She is staying at her carer's yard in an enclosure made for her and her 8 babies. She has access to the house but we can't say she is house/toilet trained
She lives with 30+ dogs and has been really perfect with everyone there
She is walking on a lead but it will need some practice to make this craft perfect.
We don't know if she's familiar with cats
Nelly accepted this environment as her new home in no time, she seemed quite resilient. At the same time she has always showered us with tenderness and with gentle approach-even with the newborns around and us being strangers, she never acted aggressively and was more than amazing with all of us!
Nelly is super sweet with unfamiliar people still, she comes gladly for cuddles and adores being pampered.
Nelly's fur is very soft, she is also quite calm, non scratchy, such a gentle dog you and your kids could play with 24/7.
She is such a gentle soul who'd love to have a family of her own even though she finds her ways here within the pack of more than 30 dogs. But we feel someone would be really lucky to have this soul who god knows how much suffered in life, and we can't emphasize enough how much a dog like Nelly deserve a lifetime of happiness
healthy, fully vaccinated and spayed
How do you adopt Nelly?
Adoption requires a pre-adoption questionnaire, home check and an adoption contract.
You will need to pay for Nelly's transportation, and pay for the paperwork to get her to you.
The costs are typically €550 in total per dog, depending on where you are located.
We used to be able to charge a little less but unfortunately, due to brexit, the costs of passports, documentation and travel have been increased by our suppliers.
