Back in September, tiny puppies were left in the vicinity of the airport. The one who left them didn't care whether they'll survive or not, because eventually they didn't survive. At least not all of them,
One puppy was soon hit by a car, the other by a truck.
Only MAYA and her brother MICKY had some luck in their tiny lives and it is only why they are still breathing this air.
They survived the winter alone outside. Kind people made them a little house to warm up and had been feeding them for months. Once they were fully vaccinated, they arrived in the shelter.
Shy, confused, cautious....and finally safe.
Since then, they've opened up to us and to the other dogs and we can say they are truly enjoying the time they've been spending with us.
Things you should know about MICKEY
✔️8 months old ✔️mixed breed ✔️around 12 kg and should get a couple of kilos due to muscle mass gains
Lives in a shelter, in an enclosure she shares with his sister MAYA.
not used to a house and not toilet trained but is a clever boy so he should learn that quickly with some guidance and persistence.
food orientated and a bit ravenous, which is why MAYA eats on top of her little house and he has his bowl on the floor.
not cat tested but is very lively so a nice and steady introduction is needed
spends time in the yard during the day, surrounded with 30 other dogs, different in size and personality with whom he gets on perfectly and fits into the hierarchy quite nicely. Somehow you can always see him pestering his sister Maya, who he loves the most but gladly interacts with other dogs as well.
he is one very lively boy who more than anything loves to be near humans, not very bothered of unfamiliar ones. Both him and Maya have the habit of nibbling people's legs while walking behind them, reminding them of their presence and demanding cuddles ( it happens when they are very excited !)
not child tested. Although he is quite jumpy at times, we think that with dog savvy kids he'll be just brilliant but with a slow and proper introduction as the trip can be quite confusing and stressful.
lively and active, loves running through the shelter which is why we think that an outdoorsy people would make a nice match to him
not lead trained but should learn fast
healthy, vaccinated and castrated
How do you adopt MICKEY?
Adoption requires a pre-adoption questionnaire, home check and an adoption contract.
You will need to pay for Mickey's transportation, and pay for the paperwork to get him to you.
The costs are typically €475 in total, depending on where you are located.
We used to be able to charge a little less but unfortunately, due to brexit, the costs of passports, documentation and travel have been increased by our suppliers.
